Murry Gunty

Murry Gunty is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Blackstreet. Gunty graduated from Harvard College, where he received a BA in economics, and Harvard Business School, where he received an MBA. Prior to founding Blackstreet, Gunty was CEO and Founder of BCM, a General Partner at Jacobson Partners, LP, and was a Partner at Lazard Freres Real Estate, LLC. He also worked at the Blackstone Group, where he was an Analyst.

Lawrence Berger

Lawrence Berger is the Chief Investment Officer of Blackstreet. Berger received both his BS and his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to Blackstreet, Berger served as the Managing Director of Investments at BCM, where he took on that role in 2006. He had previously worked as the CEO at Ames Watson Capital, the Manager of Corporate Development at The Washington Post Company, the CEO of Excentia, and the VP of Acquisitions and Strategy at Watergate Holdings.

Kevin Kuby

Kevin Kuby is the Executive Vice President and Chief Restructuring Officer of Blackstreet. Kuby received an MBA from the University of Chicago and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Illinois – Urbana / Champaign. He has worked in the turnaround and restructuring industry for over 19 years, with experience across a wide variety of industries. He was previously a Managing Director at BCM, a Managing Director at Alvarez & Marsal, a Senior Managing Director at FTI Consulting and a Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Jonathan Tipton

Jonathan Tipton is the Senior Vice President – Investments. Tipton graduated summa cum laude from Rhodes College and received an MBA from INSEAD. Previously Tipton worked as a Generalist in the Corporate Finance division of Stephens, Inc., a middle market investment bank, where he gained experience in leveraged-buyouts, M&A and public offering transactions in a variety of industries.

David Hartman

David Hartman is Senior Vice President – Operations. Hartman is a graduate of the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce with a BS in Finance and MIS. Previously Hartman served for nearly three years as Chief Financial Officer of Elderlife Financial Services. Hartman has over 25 years experience in commercial banking, asset based lending, leveraged finance, loan originations and syndications, merchant banking, work-outs, and distressed debt investing.

Robert Dragonette

Rob Dragonette is the Chief Financial Officer. Dragonette is a graduate of the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. Dragonette has 20 years experience as a CFO in several industries and the roles of President and General Manager.
